    Screen Mesh Options

    Not all screen mesh is the same. The right material depends on your priorities — durability, visibility, pet resistance, or UV protection.

    Standard Fiberglass

    The most common residential screen material. Flexible, affordable, and easy to install. Available in charcoal (best visibility) and silver-gray. Good for most applications with a typical lifespan of 5–10 years.

    Aluminum Mesh

    More rigid and durable than fiberglass. Resists denting and holds its shape longer. Better for high-traffic areas and larger screen panels where fiberglass might sag.

    Pet-Resistant Mesh

    Heavy-duty vinyl-coated polyester (like Phifer PetScreen) that's 7x stronger than standard fiberglass. Resists clawing, pushing, and chewing from dogs and cats. The go-to option for pet owners tired of replacing screens.

    Solar Screen Mesh

    Blocks 65–90% of solar heat and UV rays before they enter your home — reducing cooling costs and protecting furniture from UV fade. Slightly reduces visibility compared to standard mesh but significantly reduces glare and heat gain.

    Fine Mesh (No-See-Um)

    Tighter weave that blocks tiny insects like no-see-ums, gnats, and sand flies that pass through standard screen mesh. Essential in coastal and tropical areas.

    Super Screen (Hurricane-Rated)
